rubrics on a 4 point scale. A level 3 (B) is described as meeting curriculum
standards.

Levels of Achievement
The levels of achievement
scale describes the student’s progression toward meeting provincial
outcomes. The levels are not used to compare students with other
students.

assistance.

Students
who are progressing as expected will be in this range. Some assistance
is required.

student is fully meeting the outcome. They show what they know
independently.

A

The
child has full mastery of the outcome and can apply the knowledge.
Students with these grades have extensive and deep understanding of the
outcome and require no guidance or assistance.

Examples of descriptors we use:
Level 1: simple, incomplete, inaccurate, unclear, minimal connections,
requires assistance.
Level 2:
inconsistent, some independence, some connections, partial detail, approaching, minor errors⁄omissions, requires assistance
Level 3: regularly,
independent, well-developed, connections made, accurate, some variety, clear,
effective
Level 4:
consistently, monitoring only, refined, elaborate, significant applications and extensions, abstract, sophisticated, adeptly, create and reflect, innovative
